Tinubu $9M for lies Against Biafra/Christian Genocide exposes credibility damages & failures of Nigeria after Kidnapping Nnamdi kanu

Biafra Republic government in Exile advocacy in Washington D.C. is based on truth, facts and figures vicious to everyone in Nigeria for over a century now.

Religious persecution cannot be overemphasised in Nigeria which has culminated into christian genocide today, for the past 100 years it’s evident that no country has held Nigeria accountable for their atrocities against humanity except United States of America now.

Rather Britain aided and supervised the massacre of biafrans in 1967-1970s because of their oil/gas investment bloc of 200 million pounds.

£200 million oil and gas investments (specifically a major stake by Shell-BP, partly government-owned), provided extensive arms and diplomatic support to the Nigerian federal government during the 1967-1970 civil war to ensure a "One Nigeria" outcome and protect its economic interests.

Recall that BRGIE took the following steps in 2025;

Written Statement Submitted for the Record Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission Hearing Transnational Repression: Trends and Policy Approaches June 24, 2025

Mr. Ogechukwu Nkere’s Submission To Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission Regarding Nigeria’s trans-national repression campaign against Biafrans.

Purpose:

1. To highlight Nigeria’s trans-national repression of free speech, association, and criminalization of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Biafra Republic Government In Exile’s (BRGIE) peaceful campaign for the right to self-determination of the people of Biafra.

2. Encourage the U.S. government to pressure the Nigerian government to end its transnational repression against Biafrans, including advocating the release of IPOB Supreme Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and BRGIE Leader Simon Ekpa.

OUR RECOMMENDATIONS: On the basis of the foregoing, we most respectfully request for the following:

(1) Urge the United States to invoke the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act (subtitle F of title XII of P.L. 114-328) to identify and impose travel and financial restrictions on all officials of the Federal Government of Nigeria and any Nigerian non-State actors implicated in the killings of Biafran Christians in their homeland in Southeast Nigeria;

(2) Urge the U.S. government, including through targeted sanctions and/or tariffs, to pressure the government of Nigeria to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and allow him safe passage out of Nigeria.

(3) Urge the U.S. government to pressure the government of Finland, including through targeted sanctions and/or tariffs, to end its politically motivated trial against pro-Biafra activist Simon Ekpa.

(4)Urge the United States to deny all bilateral assistance and visas to officials of GON if it continues to engage in trans-national repression against pro-Biafra activists, and if Simon Ekpa and Nnamdi Kanu continue to be held in detention. Please reach out to myself, as well as our voices in Washington, DC, international attorney Arman Dabiri and Washington, DC political consultant Elias Gerasoulis of Moran Global Strategies, if you need additional information.

BRGIE today in january 2026 with a new Prime Minister Nkere wishes to thank American lawmakers and president Trump for holding Nigeria Accountable in line with our demands in the Congressional testimony of 2026.

Tinubu corrupt government should understand that America is not like Nigerian APC, PDP AND COMBINATION OF CRIMINALS CALLED ADC PARTY OF THIEVES.

AMERICA STANDS FOR JUSTICE.

Africa Confidential Reported 13 Jan 2026 Tinubu and Biafra lobbyists join war for Trump’s ear over Christian genocide claims with $9M to counter Biafra advocacy clearly shows that nigeria has lost control as a sovereign country because of its complicity with islamic jihadist terrorist.

‘‘Scrambling in the wake of US President Donald J Trump’s threat to ‘go into Nigeria guns ablazing’ on 1 November to end what he called a ‘Christian genocide’, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government has enthusiastically joined in the privatisation of foreign policy by hiring a slew of lobbyists in Washington DC, all claiming to have the ear of the President and his advisors.

In the details of the latest contract to promote Tinubu’s cause in Washington, his supporters are paying the Republican Party-connected DCI Group US$750,000 a month – via Aster Legal in Nigeria – to explain the Abuja government’s strategy to protect Christians in Nigeria and secure US support to counter jihadist groups in West Africa, initially for a year.

The DCI Group fee is multiples higher than what the Biafran Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE) is paying the Madison & Washington lobby company. This contract, announced on 10 January is remarkably ambitious for the fee: $66,000 for six months. Its aims include: seeking defence and security arrangements, counter-terrorism cooperation and engagement with US and international oil and gas companies under a hypothetical ‘new Biafran Administration’.

It argues that Christian-targeted violence in Nigeria is due to the complicity of the state under Tinubu and that a pro-US Biafran administration in south-east Nigeria would better serve US interests in the region and would also offer more favourable terms for US oil companies operating in ‘Biafra territory’. Pro Christian and Biafran-secessionist groups have been tapping into the religious right and evangelical Christian organisations in the US for a couple of decades, winning endorsement from senior Republican figures such as Ted Cruz (Texas R), who chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and former Secretary of State (during Trump’s first term) Mike Pompeo.

Such heavyweight supporters on the Christian-Biafra team may have prompted the Tinubu government and its supporters to splurge on a top-dollar lobby contract with ties to Trump’s circle in Washington. Whatever their aims, Tinubu’s officials and their business supporters acted with extreme urgency according to the established timeline.

1 November 2025: President Trump threatens to send troops into Nigeria ‘guns ablazing’ to stop what he called ‘a genocide against Christians’.

2-19 November: Abuja National Security Advisor Nuhu Ribadu’s team opens discussions with the Department of Defense and other Trump-affiliated officials in Washington.

20 November: Nuhu Ribadu and Nigerian military intelligence officers meet US Secretary for Defense Peter Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine in Washington.

21 November-23 December: Nigeria and the US set up a Joint Working Group to ‘share intelligence and speed up arms requests’ according to Abuja; the two sides coordinate over targets and intelligence sharing.

24 December: original scheduled day for US air attacks on suspected jihadist fighters in Sokoto and Zamfara states.

25 December: US airforce launches missiles against suspected jihadists in northern Nigeria after President Trump insists the raids should be on Christmas day and warns there will be more to come.

8 January 2026: President Trump tells the New York Times that there are likely to be further US air attacks on suspected jihadists in northern Nigeria.

12 January: DCI Group, with close Trump ally Roger Stone as advisor, announces it is being paid $9 million a year to explain the Tinubu government’s efforts to protect Christians in Nigeria to the US administration.

1st quarter 2026: US Congress is to decide whether to approve $346m precision bombs and rockets to Nigeria, via the Pentagon’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA). At least 12 Bell Textron AH1Z Cobra attack helicopters worth $997m are due to be delivered to Nigeria by 2028.

DCI’s managing member Justin Peterson and senior Advisor Doug Davenport are to lead on the contract. Trump appointed Davenport, who worked on the presidential campaigns of George W Bush and Elizabeth Dole, as his representative on the Financial Oversight Board for Puerto Rico. Davenport worked on the Trump campaigns in 2016, 2020 and 2024.

Another key figure, Diane London, is the contractor to DCI and is paying the company’s $9m fees on behalf of Aster Legal, which has offices in Nigeria and Florida. The filings don’t explain where Aster Legal raises the funds from – but insiders say it would come either from wealthy Tinubu supporters or indirectly from the government. Well plugged into Washington, London is also a commentator and a columnist for Newsmax, whose chief executive Christoper Ruddy is close to Trump.

Insiders in Washington say the DCI lobbyists will focus on the Tinubu government’s moves ‘to protect Christians’. Tinubu is desperate to avoid being defined through a ‘Christian persecution’ lense and to preserve strategic cooperation (counter-terrorism support) and diplomatic alignment (Dispatches 22/9/25, Warlords to Washington).

DCI’s lobbying rival on Nigeria – Madison and Washington – is a much smaller outfit despite having some influential friends in the US Congress. Its Chief Executive Elias Gerasoulis, 29, formerly a vice president and partner at Moran Strategies in the US capital, set up Madison & Washington and took the firm’s Biafran and Eritrean clients with him, announcing this on social media on 10 January.

Joining Gerasoulis at Madison & Washington is Arman Dabiri, a Washington-based lawyer who was the legal counsel to Libyan leader Moammar Gadaffi’s regime in the 2003 settlement where it accepted responsibility for the Lockerbie bombing and paid $2.7 billion to compensate the families of the victims (AC Vol 45 No 1, Fresh start for old faces).

Gerasoulis, a Republican fundraiser who has donated funds to Ted Cruz, is trying to use the Trump administration’s claims of genocide against Nigerian Christians to promote Biafra’s independence. He wants to capitalise on the US’s designation of Nigeria as a country which violates religious freedom on 31 October last year which prompted Trump’s threats to attack Nigeria (Dispatches, 3/11/25, Tinubu pushes back as Trump threatens military action over ‘killing of Christians’).’’
