Michael Rubin a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI),In his keynote Address Pointed that the Biafra Independence today is a Response to Nigeria Genocide of over 60 years on the people of the old Eastern Region of Nigeria(Biafra).
We are not talking about a so-called Secession, rather Decolonization, looking at Africa today we must recognise that the problem of colonization is no longer based in london and paris, its base in places like Abuja, lagos and Yaunde.
Biafra is a second wave of Decolonization in Africa right now; Biafra, Ambazonia and Somaliland are at the frontline of the Struggle for freedom, Religious Freedom, Personal, Economic and political freedom. Being at the frontline of Decolonization and freedom means response to Age Long Genocide, & notably the present leaders of Biafra Freedom today in this Congress room did not start the struggle for Biafra Rights.
Nigeria did this with their Agencies to the pogrom of 1966 and Biafra Independence today is a Response to the Repression and Genocide which is now more than 60 years.
