BRAZIL LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF SÃO PAULO RECOGNISES BIAFRA GENOCIDE OF 1967-1970, BRGIE PM NKERE WELCOMES THIS GESTURE FROM BRAZIL AS PART OF BIAFRA RESTORATION.
Biafra Republic Government in Exile ably led by Prime Minister Ogechukwu Nkere expressed his happiness and applauds THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF SÃO PAULO in Brazil for their Recognitions of #BiafraGenocide 1967-1970, stating that this is part of the awareness needed of all other countries to call Nigeria, Britain, EU, USSR out for the crimes they committed against humanity in Biafra Genocide of 1967-1970s, this genocide has not ended till today in Nigeria, Christians are massacred daily while some are kidnapped by this islamic jihadist.
There is a resurgence of the same jihad in Nigeria that emerged in 1960s which gave birth to January 15, 1966 coup to counter the genocide carried out by Northern People's Congress (NPC) of Nigeria. Today APC and PDP is a replica of this islamic jihadist party.
Recall “How Britain’s Labour government facilitated the massacre of Biafrans in Nigeria – to protect its oil interests. The world’s worst humanitarian crisis in the late 1960s, declassified British files show that Harold Wilson’s government secretly armed and backed Nigeria’s aggression against the secessionist region."
MOÇÃO Nº 186, DE 2026 of Sao paulo is a testament of Biafra Revival through its diplomatic and political work globally, God bless Brazil and the state of sao paulo for speaking for Biafrans.
“OFFICIAL JOURNAL OF THE STATE OF SÃO PAULO Published in the Edition of May 29, 2026 | Legislative Notebook | Legislative and Parliamentary Acts Section of the Assembly. MOTION Nº 186, OF 2026 - THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF SÃO PAULO, pursuant to article 154 of the Internal Regulations, expresses a MOTION of APPLAUSE to the people of Biafra for the commemoration of the Day of Heroes and Heroines of Biafra, to be celebrated on May 30, as a symbol of resistance so that the world does not forget what was the Nigeria-Biafra Civil War, which occurred between 1967 and 1970, which resulted in the genocide of three million Biafrans, which went down in history as one of the greatest humanitarian tragedies on the African continent in the twentieth century. Biafra is a territory with deep and independent historical roots, which as a result of the British colonization process was annexed to the Nigerian State, without the consent of its original populations. However, in the exercise of international law, the Biafrans proclaimed the Republic of Biafra in 1967, which remained an independent state until 1970, seeking autonomy from the central government of Nigeria. And the support of the Brazilian people for the Bi-Africans comes from a long time, when in February 1969, during an excursion of the Santos Football Club to Africa, the presence of King Pelé motivated a temporary ceasefire in the region, an episode that was immortalized in the world's collective memory as the day Pelé stopped a war. This historical bond reinforces the humanitarian connection between Brazilians and Biafrans, which expresses deep gratitude to the Brazilian people for welcoming the diaspora and incorporating it into Brazilian society. Therefore, the tribute to the Day of Heroes and Heroines of Biafra represents an act of memory and justice to men, women and children who lost their lives in the struggle for the right to self-determination of peoples. Thus, being evidenced the relevance and public interest of the matter: THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF SÃO PAULO applauds the historical struggle of the Heroes and Heroines of Biafra for the right to enjoy the principle of self-determination of peoples, a clause enshrined by the United Nations (UN) and used as a valid legal argument in the decolonization process that occurred on the African continent during the mid-twentieth century. Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo, on 5/28/2026. Eduardo Suplicy”
